The food.
After reviewing what Joyce wrote and looking at the price at bbq whole sale, I thought that we might want to buy:
i)Non-Chilli Otah - (30 pieces) $11
ii)Chicken Satay - (50 pieces) $12.50
iii)Buffalo Wing - (30 pieces) $11.50
iv)Ketupat - (5 pieces) $2.00 [Optional]

My Dear(s),
Are you sure that amount of food is enough? Have we confirmed the number of people going? I will sponsor the chips and tidbits ok? As for the wire mesh, we should check out how many pits we're given or how big the pit is (can one person call up Downtown East to just check? In that way, we can save that $1). Also, sausages and crabsticks are things that can be bbqed easily. You all can consider that. It's easy-to-eat finger food too!
I've actually ordered from this bbq wholesale place and their baffalo wings are not too bad but the Oriental Glaze is not very palatable in particular, so yes, we just stick to the first one. I had also gotten the charcoal from them but it was extremely difficult to start a fire with their charcoal, so get the charcoal elsewhere ya?
Again, thanks Joyce and Laura for taking the initiative. I hope you've got "co-workers" to help you with the planning of the games, etc (if you guys want to have!). By the way, do you all have a list of who's going and who's not?

I think for the food, we mainly want to buy:
- sausages
- chicken wing & drumlets
- otah
- satay
- squid
- prawn
That should be about it. As for the drinks, we can buy cheap ice and 1.5litre pet bottle from Sheng Shiong. The seafood can also be bought there. Charcoal.. I guess we might look around before deciding. The rest of the items, Joyce, would you like to decide?

Some people don't eat spicy food, so for the OTAH, we will have the non-chilli one..which is cheaper than the rest.HAHA.I feel 30 OTAHs should be enough in case some of you don't eat much.So, the price for 30pcs is $11~.

Erm..Let's just have chicken satay, is that alright??For 50pcs,$12.50.. Let's only buy the sauce if we have extra money ok..?The money we currently have now (after paying my mum the $119), is $49.So..We have to spent wisely..=). Let me calculate the total 1st..before proceeding on to chicken wings.

It's final.
We are having the chalet cum barbeque on the 13 of November at Down Town East.
Most probably it will be from 2 or 3pm till the next day(for those who can stay over).

If so, then I think we can get all our supplies from them already.
So who's doing the ordering? Maybe an adult?
& there's a surprise on that day. Which won't really be known.

I think that $5 isnt enough for everything. This can be counted as our last gathering already i think no one will hope to repeat the history of shortage of fund that happened during last year's BBQ.
Example 1:
30 people agree to come
30x$5=$150
$150-$119= $31
How much food can buy bought using only $31?
Please dont asume that more people attending will contribute more fund, yes that may be true to some extend but more people= more food consumed right?
So, i think that the amount that each person should pay should be brought to $7 .
Example 2:
30people
$7 per person
30x$7= $210
$210-$119= $91
$91 for food and drinks for 30people aint alot also actually.
To reply to what Laura say : If we were to bring extra cash, that means we buy the insuffcient things on the day itself. Things at Cheers aint cheap and what if it is the food that is running out? That will bring alot of trouble. Man power will be needed to go out and buy the food also, damn troublesome. Just increase the amount to $7 & thats easy already right?

So there will be 2 rooms. One for boys, one for girls?
Each of us will have to contribute $5. Include the price for food, chalet etc.
Those who are not able to make it, please let us know in advance.

Premier- each person pays $2.60
Deluxe- each person pays $3.10
Superior- each person pays $2.80
This post is specially for ppl who hate counting numbers, and like things properly calculated for them (lazy and stingy ppl..XP). I personally feel that although Deluxe may be the most expensive, it is double-room, so there is more space and boys and girls can be separated when they wanna slp. This is the Deluxe Room, price $119.00
AND this is the Superior Room.$109.00
The Deluxe Room is more expensive as it is a double room, which means two rooms separated by a door.$10 extra for that. 2 Theme Park tickets will be given free.Package from 1st to 15th Nov. If you all want a December one, rates are the same! How about a day like say, Dec 2nd?

Hey class xD
Hmm... Well,being in 2e2 is actually quite refreshing for me. I mean,on one hand,there's those fun-loving,mischievious(have i got that right?) classmates and on the other hand,we have those serious ones. This year has been kinda a roller-coaster ride for me. I was grappling with many issues,and it hasn't been easy,but I'm not complaining. I'm really going to miss our class when we move on to Sec 3 next year. Being in this class for two years was the best thing that could have happened to me. Transiting from primary school to secondary school was awkward for me,but being in e2 made it easier.(Except for Ms Lin,who continually shows us documentaries on sex and that knid of thing)(no offense Ms Lin) I'm quite happy about my grades,but do feel I could have done better in Maths,English and Geography. Especially stinking Maths,which is going to affect my average horribly. Well,I've ranted enough. I hope you guys will work hard next year to keep up the good image of 2e2'o7. I love you all,and please do something to revive this blog!

Dear Class,
Just a gentle reminder, lessons will end at 1.20pm everyday next week in lieu of the starting of the O Level examinations.
Also, I just have a few thoughts about your results:
It has been a few days since the release of your results, and I hope all of you are taking it well. On the whole, I must commend that I have seen a vast improvement in your various subjects and Mdm Chin and I are pleased. In fact, I was very heartened when I saw wide smiles on a few of your faces during the giving out of the papers. For those who feel that you could have done better, do not be discouraged. It is not the end. It is only half the journey you have n Secondary school, and you can make THAT difference when you are in Sec 3 and 4.
I remember vividly that Mdm Chin said during one RISE lesson - There are no failures, there are only learning experiences. Therefore, do take things in good stride. Again, reflect on your study process and how to make things bettes, such that history will not repeat itself next year. I once read somewhere and someone said this, "Difficulties are meant to rouse, not discourage. The human spirit is to grow strong by conflict." How apt is this quote! Challenges are not meant to "kill" you but to make you a strong and resilient person, so Class, do not be afraid of adversity, for it is only then will your true human spirit be tested.
Alright, this is a rather lengthy post, and I have one least appeal. I do not know how many people actually read this blog apart from our few regulars like Laura, Mar, Joyce, Angela, mysterious 2E2'07.... who else?? I know they read because they are the ones who leave messages on the tagboard. It is the last week we are together as ONE class, the class of 2E2 2007. If possible, do rally your friends who have the internet (and I am sure many of them do) to just drop some posts about life in school this year. I think it would be interesting to have you to talk about your experiences. Anyone can get the ball rolling. (Peggy, you can talk about your first year as a student in Singapore, ESSS and in 2E2! I don't think the class has heard from you!)
We've now come to the end of the school term, and I will leave my last words to all of you next week. Have a good weekend, all of you!

Hi 2E2,
How has the past week of the exams been? Haven't been seeing some of you or talking to you all for quite some time. Hope that all of you are coping fine! You have just a couple more papers to go, so yes, hang in there! For those who think that you're just left with some "insignificant" subjects, please BURST your bubble and put in as much efforts as you had done with Maths, Science and Geog (I'm sure you know what I'm talking about :) ), because you know that every single subject counts especially in affecting your overall percentage!!
