Sitting Duck (Idiom)

Meaning: Vulnerable; an unsuspecting person who is easily fooled.

Origin:
A duck on the ground, a "sitting duck", is far easier to shoot compared to a flying duck.

Using in a sentence: The old lady was a sitting duck for the theif when she sat down with her purse beside her.
